The Litecharga solar bollard design is 800mm high with 160mm diameter. A slightly frosted white, polycarbonate lens provides even, 360 degree illumination with reduced glare. This solar bollard design will automatically illuminate at dusk for up to 12 hours, following a gradual dimming sequence throughout the night (from 100% to 30% brightness) across the first 5 hour period. This results in prolonged battery retention, reducing the light output in the early hours when there is less traffic. In addition, this solar powered bollard incorporates a substantial monocrystalline solar panel and replaceable LifePO4 lithium battery. As a result, optimum charge levels are maintained. The incorporated LED chips have a high lumen output of 240 lumens with an expected lifespan of up to 50,000 hours. In internal colour switch results in multiple colour temperature selections (warm white 3000K or daylight white 6000K)

The Litecharga Corten Steel Solar Bollard is designed for surface mounting. An internal surface mount in concealed with the main tubular body. It is supplied with expanding anchor bolts and compatible with optional J-Bolts for root mounting into wet concrete. It is simple and safe to install, and extremely versatile when it comes to mounting positions, in comparison to mains fittings which require costly cable runs. Professional solar lighting is extremely environmentally friendly, converting natural energy into electrical current which costs nothing to run. It is also often a lower output than mains bollards, making it less disruptive to nocturnal wildlife.

Dimming Sequence & Active Smart Power System

The Litecharga uses intelligent time controllers, calibrated to the UK climate, to prolong battery life without compromising on brightness levels. These time controllers operate a gradual dimming sequence to maintain a brighter light when it is needed most, in the early hours of darkness, and a less bright light when it is needed less, often in the early hours of the morning. In addition, the Litecharga’s Active Smart Power System (ASPS) further reduces light emission when the battery voltage is low, resulting in longer-lasting light functionality.
