Becoming a Reseller – Questions & Answers

Lumena Products are available on a small number of carefully selected, 3rd party websites. As a trusted, reliable brand of outdoor lighting, Lumena products are a great addition to any website, placed alongside other complimenting products. Based on experiences, some professionals prefer to use a specific wholesaler or website, so having Lumena products readily available alongside other brands ensures trade professionals and end users are able to consolidate project purchases to just one supplier, saving on delivery costs and reducing wait times.

Lumena are committed to supplying resellers fairly and efficiently. Below, we have put together some Q&As with regards to becoming a Reseller and what we, as a manufacturer, can offer you.

  • We have specialist products that are not widely available elsewhere. A good example of this is 9 different registered designs of Solar Bollard, supplied for 3+ years with hugely positive feedback.
  • Our team all have fantastic product knowledge over a wide range of different designs and pride themselves on friendly, professional customer service.
  • You won’t find our products all over the internet at many different discounted prices. Our discount structure works and is beneficial to both parties, maximising product margins for resellers without bidding wars.
  • The specs, photos and information on our website have been collated and checked by us, much more than just a ‘factory spec’
  • Our stock levels are substantial in our large, Northamptonshire Warehouse of over 21,000 sq. ft. and our lead time is extremely fast. Most orders receive by 3pm Monday-Friday will be dispatched the same day on a next working day delivery service. Some bespoke items may take slightly longer but are usually dispached within 2 working days. If an item is out of stock then we’ll suggest the closest alternative.
  • At least two trained warehouse staff check every single order for quality before it’s dispatched.
  • In our experience, customers who have a preferred website or retailer, will stick to them
  • In honesty, there is a small chance that we will be found on search engines, but it’s highly likely that if a customer has already purchased from you then they will stick with you. Once our products are ranking on your website, you will be equally as visible. We would never approach your customers to come direct and if we recognise anybody as your customer, we would strongly encourage them to return to you as a supplier.
  • Customers love a ‘one stop shop’ so if they are on your website purchasing one item but also looking for a different type of product, e.g. Solar Lights then you’ve got them covered.
  • Due to our pricing structure, customers will never be in a low-price war across websites and that includes ours. 
  • Any special offers or price changes we implement, we inform our resellers in advance via email so they can offer the same, whilst still purchasing at their discounted prices. Sometimes we even give our resellers an exclusive “pre-sale period” where you can offer the items in the sale for up to a week before the price is reduced on our own site. 
  • Receive a set trade discount across all of our products for little outlay once the products are listed on your website
  • Instantly offer new products or whole ranges on your website backed up with whatever information you require
  • You are one of a select few resellers so not endless online competition
  • Product checking, packing and delivery is down to us
  • Be part of the commission reward scheme

“Dropping ship” is a term used to describe when a Company sends a customer’s order direct to their customer (end user). This prevents additional forwarding costs and results in the end user receiving the goods much quicker. When dispatching “drop ship” orders, we refrain from including Lumena literature, and often include a personalised delivery note from the 3rd party (if provided via email). This makes it less obvious that the goods have been shipped by us, with the only reference to Lumena being the branding of the product and Sender address on the courier label, which is barely noticeable.

Yes, of course. Our friendly technical team are always on hand to help during office hours. We will happily talk through things direct with your customer if you require, but we will only do this at your request. We also provide as much technical information as possible on our online listings and on product instructions.

We strive to provide as much information about our products, most of which is available on each individual product page. Not all of our outdoor lights have a downloadable spec sheet readily available, however we are constantly adding to these. We also offer some photometric data on our more commercial items. If you require some information to send to your client on a specific product, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

Yes. Our current catalogues and brochures are available to download here. Alternatively, you can request hard copies. Additional marketing material is also available such as product / range posters, flyers, downloads and product images. We can also provide small display stands upon request, either as a showroom display or on loan for a trade show.

Step 3: You place the order with us online or via email with discount applied (Payment is via the website, or by Pro Forma)

Step 4: We can include your company delivery note if provided

Step 5: Order is shipped direct to your customer or you, (no Lumena invoice included)
