The Lediflex Coloured LED Strip Lights are part of the DConnect Plug & Play Range. Flexible strip lights are made of silicone with PU sealed centre and are available in 2m and 5m reels. Each strip contains 60 LEDs per metre and each LED has a lumens output of 7-8 lumens. As a result, the strip lights emit up to 480 lumens per metre. In addition, the LED strip lights are completely waterproof with an IP Rating of IP68.

Create smaller lengths by cutting along the copper connector points marked with the scissors symbol (every 10cm). The IP Rating may be reduced when the strip is cut, therefore an end cap must be used. Secure in place over the open end with waterproof adhesive. Consequently, these string LEDs will require a driver.

Coloured LED Strip Lights are perfect for creating subtle mood lighting around the edges of decking, steps, or even hot tubs. They are also very effective Christmas Lights. The source of the light can easily be hidden because of their small size.

INSTALLATION

A ‘D-Connector’ plug and play female 2 pin adaptor is attached the input cables at each end of the reel which plug directly into the driver output cable.

The Lediflex kit includes a detachable 24v DC Constant Voltage LED Driver: 15 Watts for 2m and 30 Watts for 3m. A 3 pin UK plug attaches to 1.5m of fixed 3 core rubber waterproof input cable ensuring easy installation with no wiring. The 240v AC mains input then converts to 24v DC output via the 24v transformer. The output cable has a ‘D-Connector’ plug & play male 2 pin adaptor for easy installation. Ideally the driver should be installed above ground on a suitable post or wall via the easy to use surface mount clips.

Additional DConnect Extension Cables also available as an accessory to enable a more remote placing of the driver, further away from the fitting (1m, 3m or 5m).

Use the rubber clips provided for surface mounting. Alternatively a durable and weatherproof aluminium profile is available to add further protection and secure mounting. The AliPro encases strip lights up to 1m but can be cut to size. The opal cover diffuses light evenly, without glare. Removable mounting clips and end caps are provided.
