The Olympia Solar Pedestal Light is a smaller version of the 800mm Olympia post light. Therefore, it is ideal for gate posts, lower walls or as a lower level path light. The durable, decorative diffuser has a frosted stripe and emits a bright glow from the long life LEDs. Output is an impressively bright 420 lumens. This is an amazingly high output for any solar path light or solar pedestal light, in comparison to other cheaper alternatives.
The Olympia design emits an ‘anti glare’ spread of light. The diffuser shape helps shine light outwards and downwards as a soft wash . The frosted detail on the diffuser also adds to the anti-glare effect, as well as looking contemporary and stylish. The Olympia Solar Pedestal Light is built to last, with a strong internal mounting base.
Superior quality Epistar LED chips (3.5W) generate this high 420 lumen output with up to 50,000 hours life. Optimum charge levels due to the grade A monocrystalline solar panel and replaceable LifePO4 lithium battery. As a result, the Solar Pedestal retains adequate charge for 365 day illumination. Even in the dullest of weather, our solar lights will still illuminate, although they may not last the entire night cycle, which in many cases is not a necessity. This solar light incorporates a time controller. Therefore, when darkness falls it will illuminate at full brightness, and then follow a gradual dimming sequence until it reaches 30% brightness after 5 hours. From then on it will remain at 30% until dawn. This solar post light will illuminate for up to 23 hours at full charge.
Solar lighting – the time is now!
The current proactive drive to save our planet is positive and important. Solar energy is one of the World’s most innovative renewable power sources. It uses no power from the grid, just the sun to charge rechargeable batteries during the day, stored to be used at night. Subsequently, other benefits are clear, with no running and installation costs or ongoing maintenance.
Solar is the perfect solution to illuminating areas where hard wiring is not possible. Most importantly, solar is better for the environment. Solar post lights use a natural, clean, renewable energy source – the sun.
