This Radiata wooden post light is manufactured using solid Radiata Pine timber. The timber is sustainably sourced and used due to its low split properties and no feathering. These wooden post lights are fully treated before being sold. They are sanded down to give a smooth, top quality finish and penetrated by the latest generation wood preservative, in accordance with BS8417 to meet Use Class 4.
The Radiata is designed so that 300mm – 400mm of the wooden post light can be securely mounted in-ground. The light is emitted from a slatted style fitting in a charming aged silver finish. The stylish light houses 1 x LED G4 bulb (bulbs to be purchased separately).
As a natural material, Radiata products will possess structural features, such as knots, splits and twists.Â

This wooden post light is manufactured using solid Radiata Pine timber. The timber is sustainably sourced and used due to its low split properties and no feathering. These driveway post lights are fully treated before being sold. They are sanded down to give a smooth, top quality finish and penetrated by the latest generation wood preservative, in accordance with BS8417 to meet Use Class 4. Sourced and CNC machined by a top FSC certified timber supplier, these Radiata Pine Posts are suitable for most climates, whether the environment is dry or humid.
The Radiata is designed so that 300mm – 400mm of the wooden post light can be securely mounted in-ground. The light is emitted from a slatted style brass fitting in a charming rustic bronze finish. The stylish light houses 1 x LED G4 bulb (bulbs to be purchased separately). The expected life of the wooden post light is up to 15 years with a 5 year Guarantee as standard.
As a natural material, cracking in wood is common. Usually this will have no effect on the strength of the post and varies based on the moisture content of the wood. The preservative treatment helps to increase the moisture level, thus reducing cracking. The best time of year for external installs of wooden posts is between October and March. This is due to the sun being less intense, reducing the risk of rapid drying. Not recommended to install in waterlogged areas as this will have a negative effect on the wood.

Garden Lighting Made Easy!

Anything required underwater should also be low voltage as it is much safer.
When it comes to connections, there are multiple cables and adaptors which are suitable for various 12v plug and play lighting systems. Lumena’s Versa plug & play system is compatible with a number of brands such as Techmar. Cables are available in various length in various combinations of plug & play and open end. In addition, 3 way and 6 way connectors make it very simple for connecting components and fittings to just one transformer.
12v lightings requires a transformer in order for these to be powered. A transformer converts 240v mains down to 12v low voltage. We stock various wattage transformers (10w, 20w, 50w and 100w). Calculate which size transformer is required for a circuit following this simple formula:
Lamp Wattage x Lamp Quantity = Total Wattage Required (minimum)
Example: 5W MR16 x 3 fittings = 15WÂ Â (20W transformer required)
You must never exceed the wattage of a transformer, and avoid underloading. The ideal capacity is 75-90% load.
12v Lighting Set-up Example
