The light shines downwards, giving anti-glare illumination from the 240v Eye-lid style fitting incorporated into the post. The light fitting is fantastically durable as it is Solid Brass. The Aged Silver finish looks smart, and also adds a contemporary look to this rustic path light. This wooden post requires 1 x G9 LED Bulb (purchased separately). The expected life of the Radiata is up to 15 years with a 5 year Guarantee as standard.
The Radiata is designed so that 300mm – 400mm of the wooden bollard can be securely mounted in-ground. They are well-suited to rural areas such as parks, walkways, caravan parks, larger driveways.
As a natural material, it is common for cracking in the wood to appear. Usually this has no effect on the strength of the post and varies based on the moisture content of the wood. The preservative treatment helps to increase the moisture level, therefore reducing cracking. The best time of year for external installs of wooden posts is between October and March. This is because the sun is less intense, reducing the risk of rapid drying. Not recommended to install in waterlogged areas as this will have a negative effect on the wood.
As a natural material, Radiata products will possess structural features, such as knots, splits and twists.Â
